even yummy vanilla scents.

but i was never really into musk. i never 

smelled a musky scent and fell in love...

until now. 

i bought this body wash

for ryan because he kept complaining

that his AXE (what a dork..right? LOL) 

dries his skin out. so i decided he deserved something a little

nicer..manlier.. grown up NOT HIGHSCHOOL BODY WASH?

so i got him this original musk scent body wash

by Kiehl's. 

i smelled this body wash and immediately knew

i had found my musky love for once and for all.

purses.. only cause i buy one or two a year

that is classic and beautiful. ...i'm not a big purse

girl. we all can say i'm pretty

this is a new proenza schouler bag that caught

my eye at barneys a few weeks ago.

i am so in love with it! the hologram material
makes it pretty fun to accessorize with
and wear it with just about anything.

last night we had dinner for the first time
on our new rooftop. well not new.. cause we had
our rooftop at our old building but new because
this is a new view! yay!

i made angel hair pasta with garlic EVOO,
mushrooms, asparagus, onions, spinach
and peppers. ryan bought some white
wine and we dined together and literally
laughed the night away.
it was one of the best nights i have had with my husband.

DAYLIGHT NOT-SAVINGS.

so we lost an hour.

FUUUUCK.

 BBUUUUTTT it is SOOO bright outside right now!

and it's only 5 PM!! 

i think i'll surprise ryan with dinner on our rooftop 

so excited!! heehee

i always get asked the same question:

"what do you splurge on and what do you buy on sale?"

i am SUCH a penny pincher when it comes to 

shopping. it may not seem like it but i'm such

a crazy SALE freak!

i love to splurge on CLASSIC items. pieces

that you know you'll 

1. wear forever, can wear forever

and wouldn't really think twice about throwing it on. 

("go to" easy pieces!)

2. are beautifully crafted. either made in USA or 

Italy or France. I don't mind made in CHINA at all! we 

all know alex wang and Rag&Bone is now produced in vietnam 

and/or China.. the list goes on. the COO doesn't

mean much to me but the actual design and

workmanship should be noticeably beautiful and clean.

3. lust worthy.

yes. the item will go on salethis fall or summer 

(barneys warehouse?? neiman marcus pre sale??netaporter sale?)

but sometimes, you must take the leap.

sometimes they'll sell out before they can even go on sale!

chanel classic flats= never go on sale. just buy it!!

rag and bone chelsea booties? maybe wait for a shopbop promo code!

(ahem CAT!!! LOLZ!)

okay. 

so stuff i buy on the CHEEPS!!

i love zara, madewell (sale items), jcrew and 

flea markets for my trendier items. i will never and can never

buy cheap jeans. (j brand is right next to my work!)

and its hard to buy cheap shoes now.

know when to buy the cheetah print dress from zara for 80$

and when to splurge on the balenciaga booties for 800$. 

don't buy the stupid neon pink chanel flats

that will.......most likely be fugs next season.

speaking of which... right now i'm obsessed with equipment 

and ALC blouses..... .look at this beauty!

i think its obvious that i love classic style

and yes, it may appear that i love name brands as well

but i think its interesting to see when

people really show their materialistic sides. 

money doesn't buy happiness. 

yes it makes life a lot easier but

jesus, is money really everything?

being humble and good natured is so important.

i really don't care about showing

everyone you have one million dollars and making

sure everyone in the room knows

that you're wearing obnoxious prada boots.

my mother in law, is a saint.

and i'm not saying that just because

she bought me a celine purse 

and now a goyard wallet. (or am i? ha!) she really is someone

i look up to SO much. i mean, i love my mom, 

everyone knows i LOVE my parents so much but..

when i think of ryan's mother and father..

it makes me feel so overwhelmed with admiration.

i want to be THOSE kinds of parents. the kind of parents

who love their children ENDLESSLY and give them support 

until they get what they want and fight for. the kind

of parents who give their children their life, sacrificing so much

for their children's happiness... i am going to be that kind of parent.

i am so blessed to have them in my life... 

i asked my mother in law for the trish no 9

perfume and she refused. what kind of person does this? refusing

too "cheap" presents? ugh.. i get excited when 

someone wants a cheap present LOL.. anyway,

we went shopping on saturday down to rodeo and she

told me to choose whatever i wanted.. i desperately

needed a new wallet so i got the long goyard/checkbook

that i've been wanting for sometime.

she is amazing and i don't deserve a mother in law like her.
